About the Role
Opportunities like this do not come along very often. The Port has its own on-site workshop responsible for the repair and maintenance for mobile, floating, and static plant, both marine and non-marine, as well as the Port’s utilities and infrastructure.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join our highly skilled cross-functional Workshop team. Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, you will work on everything from carrying out regular site maintenance to servicing navigational lights. This is a highly varied role, keeping you on your toes!
You will be part of a motivated crew of professionals supporting the port-wide delivery of repair and maintenance servicing of all plant and infrastructure. Your key focus will be to use your great skills, knowledge, and experience to organise, oversee, and carry out electrical maintenance, installation, and project work on buildings, plant, and other port facilities.
And what is great is that you going to work on some pretty interesting gear, both land-based and floating. And, because of that, you are going to get the chance to stretch and develop your skills in a unique and time-critical environment.
About You
Trade qualified to Level 4 as a minimum, you will have:
Problem solving and fault finding will come naturally to you, along with the ability to work well under pressure while consistently demonstrating effective communication skills.
